this is a test post for essential grid
Hi Brian! Sorry for writing you in email, but it’s too late to call and I didn’t want to forget to call you tomorrow. I got assigned to a meeting on Wednesday and will not be able to keep my appointment with you. That’s the bad news.
The good news is that I don’t think I’ll need to reschedule. I am doing really well both eating/exercising-wise and making some progress on the career front. Nothing concrete yet, but the attitude change I needed is there.
I’m very very grateful for the help you’ve been able to provide and for helping me turn around out of a pretty shitty place. Let me know if you want to reschedule just to close loose ends or if you think we’re all set.
Seriously seriously, thanks,

I was really surprised… although there was the occasional
nervousness, I did incredibly well. I’d say I’m 98% better*. Thank you!
Is that good enough, or is there a chance hypnosis will reverse it 100%?
*And yes, Sasha did come back later and resolve the rest of the problem.

Sorry for the extreme delay in response to your email!
I did get this email, but I stored it away so that I could write back, and then things got busy with year end and X-mas Holidays etc. Anyways, I really appreciated the follow up and I definitely wanted to get back to you on how things have been going with me.
Since our last appointment, things have generally been going pretty well. I have had several opportunities to give presentations at work. Nothing that was extremely high pressure (just the one board meeting last year), but all of those well – I have not had to use any of my anxiety relief medications. I had been attending Toastmasters pretty regularly up until about September and got up to doing my 3rd speech. All of those speeches went very well, and my peer feedback was extremely positive. I think my average score was probably a 4.5 or 5/5 on each of those first speeches. Since Sept, my work was filled with travel and other things, all of which interfered with my regular attendance to TM. That being said, I will be going back to the meeting next week to resume that.
I wouldn’t say that things are now perfect, I definitely still have moments of nervousness and anxiety thinking about or before a talk. But, it has not been such an extreme terror as it was before we started our sessions and I feel better about that. I know that I still have a ways to go and I will continue to look at this as continuous self improvement.
Yes, I have been satisfied with the results so far, and working with you was very helpful. I had tried another counselor before and he was much less helpful, though he did help me source the heart drugs (which had helped). However, I really preferred that your approach was more of a whole one and not just a series of Hypnosis sessions (that was really my original expectation), in fact only one of our sessions included Hypnosis. I also don’t think I could have thought about not using the heart drugs before big talks if I had not worked with you. You made me feel very comfortable about what Hypnosis would be and the various exercises and reading materials that you gave me were extremely helpful. I really gained a lot of insights into myself, and I have since better understood that I was creating self-defeating loops of anxiety that were causing me to have unrealistic expectations of myself. I still carry around that list with me in my notebook and refer to every now and then.
Thanks for your help, I do appreciate that I still have a resource in you if I should need any additional help in the future.

I wanted to let you know that I passed my exam! I’m very excited, relieved, and grateful for having had the opportunity to work with you. You gave me the tools to help me through the past couple of months and I’m glad I have those available to me going forward.
Based on my mother’s reaction, I’m not sure who was more relieved, me or her (maybe I’ll send her your way…just kidding).
Thank you again and I’ll be in touch.

Thank you so much…Sat went ok..but the good thing about it was I wasn’t nervous..I gave the prep talk before we went on stage and if felt sooooo good…it came from the heart and it was so easy..especially because I wasn’t nervous..That was the first time I’ve ever done that..no one wanted to say anything..I just said I would like to..Everyone thanked me after and said they needed that…I just shared with them some of the things you remind me..Like don’t forget the passion for dance!..Sunday was 10x..I love it..we all dance to one heart beat and it felt good and it was the confirmation for me to continue dancing…I owe some of that to you and I thank you so much..I don’t think I cant say it enough..I didn’t get one butterfly in my stomach..it was wonderful! Thanks.

Where did you hear about Boston Hypnosis:
Nature of your issue:
I am sorry for the delay in my reply but my email from Spain was shut down as i am away too long and i didn’t have your email. I just wanted to follow up about my flying!
I am flying home to Spain on Sunday, and then Italy after that. I didn’t think i was ‘cured’ and I feel I should be nervous because thats the normal for me, but I really am not nervous! And I didn’t do any suspicious thinking when booking the flights- just booked them. My family are delighted- I was a nightmare!
I am happy to email you about it if you prefer, if you send me your email to my other —– email that I have included here.
So thanks a million
All the best

Just thought I’d give you an update.
Just concentrating on glycemic rates has helped a lot. I am still off of sugar with no desire to change that…more beans, whole grains and nuts instead of breads, white rice and potatoes …seem to be doing the trick as I steadily lose about 1/ 2 lb a week. That is a healthy rate and very sustainable because I feel it’s just part of my life now and I don’t feel like I am on a diet because I am not. Just eating in a different way.
So…I’ll give you a call for an appointment if I get stuck at a weight for a while….but so far so good.
I just wanted to let you know that, wonderfully, I have not had this problem virtually at all over the past two months. This has had an incredibly positive effect on my life. I won’t declare victory yet, however, as “relapses” have frequently happened in the past (the problem seems to fade, and then comes back — maybe it’s a long-term battle?), but I just wanted to share with you this very encouraging short-term update. For now, at least, the possibility of blushing is hardly even on my radar and I barely think about it. My sincere thanks for all of your work with me over this past summer. I’ll send you another update in a few months time and let you know where I’m at.
It’s still holding! Blushing is very rare for me these days. I don’t even worry about it. I wonder how you’d feel if I mentioned Boston Hypnosis to various other people online who I know suffer from this same problem? There are whole forums of people who are looking for cures to this issue. They might really benefit from reaching out to you — but, then again, I don’t know if you’d really want 30 clients around one issue? Let me know. Happy to do it — or to hold off as well.

Thank you for chatting with me last week! I really appreciated your time and guidance. I am VERY happy to report I went to Thailand!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I had some anxiety prior to going that was manageable. I did some deep visualization meditations each morning prior to going and had a drink or two which kept my anxiety manageable. The day of my flight to Bangkok I woke up and had ZERO anxiety. ZERO. I had ZERO anxiety during all of my flights to and from Thailand! I even enjoyed it! I am keen to say I like flying! I wanted to let you know how it all went and thank you for being part of my journey to healing. I can’t believe after over 5 years of not flying and having having crippling anxiety about flying for about 8 years that I jumped on a flight (one of the longest flights in the world I might add – 18hrs direct from NYC to Bangkok) and felt great! 🙂 THANK YOUUUUUU!

Hope all is well with you?
I just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how I am doing. I am pleased to say I am doing absolutely awesome! Since our last meeting I have been sleeping great. It’s amazing; it is like a switch in my head has been turned off. I hear the noise but it no longer affects me like it did before. The visualizations we worked on really helped, I did that every night for the first week and then started falling asleep before I was able to visualize anything. It was/is an incredible feeling to wake up in the morning with a full nights rest.
There was one other thing you said in our last meeting that I took to heart too. You said perhaps I will be able to look back on my experience with a little bit of humor. For some reason that made me feel better; the idea that this will all be a funny story in the future made me feel like it was not as dire situation as I was painting it to be.
Maybe you can use this feed back to help others in similar situations.
At this point I don’t want to say I don’t want to meet with you again but at the same time I don’t think I need it. I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on things. So maybe I can touch base with you again in a month or so?
I want to thank you for all your help, Brian! You have had a huge affect on my view point of thing. Not just on sleep and anxiety but on therapy in general. If you had asked me about therapy a few years ago I would have told you it is something for the weak minded. After working with you I truly feel there is something to gain for everyone; I am a stronger, healthier person because of our work together.

Subject: Re: Follow Up
Sorry to not have let you know how things went. So here is the follow up. I had great experiences (and they continue) because of the work with you. The 9/16/11 concert I did was amazing. I memorized all of my lyrics and just flubbed one line, and that didn’t matter! Since then, my stage fright has diminished to almost nothing – or at least nothing of consequence. I remember everything, more or less. The important part for me is that the importance i put on being perfect has pretty much gone have in terms of it affecting how I am in front of people. I just do what I do and the results are reflective of the preparation(and experience) I do for the performances, not my expectations or my fears. Basically, me getting rid of my fears (stage fright and the “perfection” problem) has helped me get to where I want to be when I play in front of people. This makes me very comfortable so I have a better experience on stage and make a bigger impact on the audience. I’m very happy about it all! I was considering asking if you want a testimonial. Let me know about that. Thanks for everything.
As for the coaching – I am still interested in coaching in some form. I definitely need someone to help get my career off of the ground – as far as specifics and what to do. Of course, this includes getting to know the “right” people we talked about. I’m plugging away at getting known in the “small” circles and getting the low paying gigs. I’m doing a lot of solo performing. I would love to bypass all this crapola and go to the “big” stuff – whatever that means.
So that’s where i stand. So, let’s talk sometime.
Thanks. Take care. Mark

Happy New Year! I don’t know if you remember me but I had a few sessions with you back in May. I sought your help so I could get back to the gym and get out of the rut I was in. I just wanted to give you a quick update. For the last 8 months I have been going to the gym 5 days a week. I’ve dropped 25 pounds, added muscle and exponentially increased my strength and endurance. I’m in the best shape of my life. For the first time in a long time, I feel good about myself. I guess the saying “healthy body, healthy mind” is true. Later this week, I’m leaving for a 10 day vacation where I’m going to learn to surf. Learning to surf has been a lifelong dream for me and I’m finally going to make it a reality. So to make a long story short, things have been great. I can’t thank you enough for helping me. Hope all is well with you in 2008!

I’m not even sure that I will have to see you again–I am just waking up from the most wonderful wedding here in Whistler, BC (canada). I was the best man for my friend Mike.
Anyways, you must know that I am extremely sick, and had to lay down several times throughout the reception, but made a point to help get the party rolling, and also to make sure i tested out my new powers that you’ve helped me with!
Boy, if it wasn’t for me going out there and dancing, I never would have even known what I was missing. I was having so much fun out there that I totally forgot how sick i was. Even though earlier I was shivering and aching and feeling close to death!
Everyone started noticing and making jokes with me and opening up to me and saying that I was gonna keep going all night.
Well, because I went out there, this most gorgeous girl noticed me. I am sure she wouldn’t even have looked my way if it weren’t for me going out there and showing how much of a good time I was having.
Oh, man she was absolutely the sexiest girl at the whole wedding. I was still kinda shy and managed only to say a few words and kinda dance close to her. But later her aunts all were dancing with me (and I wasn’t shy with them) and they’d tell me that she wanted to dance with me and thought that I was cute.
Eventually, they set us up and we danced several songs together including a few nice slow ones, and went out and talked, and later met up at a bar and small party back at her house. Kissed her on the cheek and stuff like that… : )
So anyway, I’m gonna see her again today at her family’s weiner roast…
Thank you so much, Brian…I surely now realize what I’ve been missing all these years.
I think any time people see “rave reviews” on a web site like this, the question arises, “how do I know they’re real?”
Bottom line is, you don’t. Since this work is therapeutic and often deals with deeply personal issues, I don’t supply e-mail addresses or phone numbers for my former clients. That said, I can tell you that I collected them from –
– emails sent during the course of the work and in response to my later follow-ups
– voice mails (transcribed) left in response to my follow-ups on the work
– online reviews posted at sites like Google, Yelp, etc.
Some of the quotes came spontaneously. Others I’ve asked for at the end of the work when clients have said they’re very happy with what they’ve achieved. Some clients requested their names be changed for privacy, but the actual content is word-for-word accurate. To the best of my knowledge, every quote on the site and on the review sites around the web is true. The only distinction I’d make is in several quotes where clients have given me the credit – it’s always the client who deserves the credit. Basically I’m a guide. I’ve helped them do the work, but the clients are the ones who did the work to achieve the results.
And yes, I do get emails from clients who haven’t been successful (fortunately there are a lot fewer of those). While I don’t use them on the site, I’m happy to talk about them if you ask.
Please note that I’m seeing clients both online and here in my office.
I’ve found clients can make effective progress both ways.
If you’d like to talk about it, please call me at 617-542-4444. Thanks.
